Time Well Spent in Doha - Very Much Recommend We had a 15 hour layover landing at 5:30 pm and did the city night tour. It was a fantastic way to spend our time and would highly recommend. Sadiq was a great guide and we learned a ton about Qatar and Doha. Our favorite stop was getting a snack at the Souq Waqif! This was time very well spent.

After midnight layover? Take this tour! We had an overnight layover in Doha and were thrilled that we could take a midnight tour to learn more about Qatar. It was absolutely worth it! Our guide Sadiq drove us around and answered our dozens of questions. We learned about the lives of Qatari citizens and residents, what housing is like, the education system, health care, religion, the government, etc. Everything was closed so we only saw the exteriors of buildings and areas (we got out several times to walk around and take photos) - everything we saw was so modern and clean and beautiful! A grand introduction to Doha Lika and her friend Sadiq provided us with a fantastic introduction to Doha! She is absolutely passionate about sharing her city, her country and her knowledge with visitors. In just 4 hours we traveled from modern Doha to it's foundation and storied past. With Sadiq safely driving us to Lika's dialogue we felt safe wherever we went. Awesome This was a compact and informative tour and money well spent. We had 8 hours in Doha on our way to Thailand. We could have spent our time in the airport lounge but this was definitely more valuable. We were two adults with two teenage sons and our ten your old daughter. We were all engaged in learning about the history, royalty, culture, politics, traditions, religions, demographics, geography, topography, food and art and architecture of the people of Qatar. This was whilst being driven around in the comfort of an air conditioned Land Cruiser, with very timely stop offs for photos. Phenomenal! The whole experience was honestly phenomenal. I had a stopover from midnight to 8am and was keen to get out but nervous as a solo. Booking with Arshad was easy and communication (via WhatsApp) was excellent. My guide was Ibrahim, a very knowledgeable and personable guy and I had a great time seeing all the essentials of Doho. He was my guide, driver and photographer lol! Even at 3am it was remarkably active with people out and about and food places open. Everywhere we went was clean and safe. We got back to the airport with heaps of time to spare and I had no issues getting airside. I cannot recommend the midnight tour more highly. Just do it!
